ABOUT TERRANCE SIMIEN For over 40 years, two-time GRAMMY Award-winning, eighth generation Louisiana Creole, Terrance Simien has been shattering the myths and often misinformation about what his traditional Zydeco roots music is—and is not. It’s most certainly Black American roots music and it’s music born of the African American/Black and mixed race French-speaking Creoles of South Louisiana.

Simien leads a highly skilled Zydeco Experience band with longtime band member, close friend and creative collaborator, two-time GRAMMY winner Danny Williams (keyboards, vocals); GRAMMY winner Stan Chambers (bass, vocals) Ian Molinaro-Thompson (drums); Michael Christie (trumpet); and Noah Boshra (saxophone).
