Girl Talk is an international non-profit peer-to-peer mentoring program with a very simple premise: high school girls mentor middle school girls to help them deal with the issues they face during their formative early teenage years. Their mission is to help young teenaged girls build self-esteem, develop leadership skills and recognize the value of community service. Since 2002, the Girl Talk program has served more than 40,000 girls in 43 states and 7 countries.

Workshop for parents & teachers seeking advice on issues affecting young girls
Today’s middle schools girls have it rough. Haley Kilpatrick, Founder of Girl Talk and author of The Drama Years, will engage parents and educators in a conversation to help adults understand what issues adolescent and young teen girls today are facing with friendships, bullying/cyberbullying, brands, body image and more, and provide practical strategies for navigating these common challenges with confidence.
The workshop fee is $12 for members and $15 for non-members and will include refreshments on the porch of the Museum and a tour of The Taylor Swift Experience™ exhibit. For more information on the morning workshop click here
