MoTown Family Day

Join us for Motown Family Day in honor of our temporary exhibit, Legends of Motown: Celebrating The Supremes. Motown Family Day will include a free screening of The Wiz featuring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, special performances inspired by Motown, art activities hosted by Delta Arts Alliance, and an opportunity to jam out on the DMI Mobile Music Lab. Plus music from Soul & Parliament and live DJs. 

All Family Day activities and admission to Museum exhibits will be FREE of charge and take place from 10a.m. - 3p.m.   Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a special drawing during Family Day for a chance to win a FREE birthday party at the Museum.  Drawing will be at 3p.m. and you must be present to win.

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Experience the DMI Mobile Music Lab

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  –  Live DJ Playing Motown Classics

11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  –  Delta Arts Alliance School of Dance – Summer Pop Star Camp & Delta Arts Alliance in partnership with the Rosedale Freedom Project – Poetry Out Loud Performances

11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  – Food Trucks on site

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  –  Live Music from Soul & Parliament

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  –  Screening of The Wiz featuring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross in the Sanders Soundstage

1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  –  Live DJ Playing Motown Classics

3:00 p.m.  – Free Birthday Party Drawing – Must be present to win
