To celebrate National Drumming Day, join Jeremy Freelon and explore rhythm through the art of drumming and percussion music. Recommended for grades 5+.
Jeremy K. Freelon is a native of Bruce, MS and now resides in Oxford, MS. He attended Northwest Community College and in 2006, he became a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Immediately after graduation, Freelon became the Director of Bands for the Coffeeville School District. In 2008, he was named the Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Percussion Studies for the Lafayette County School District in Oxford, MS where he held this position until May 2019.
Currently, he owns and operates Freelon’s DrumLab, LLC, a mobile percussion service that provides clinics, consultation, drum maintenance/repair, live and in-studio sessions, and individual/group instruction. Freelon is an artist educator for Vic Firth Drumsticks, Beato Bags, Cympad, and Remo Drumheads.
