In The Booth - Hands-on programs that delve into the technical side of music.
The way we listen to music has continued to evolve since the invention of Thomas Edison’s phonograph in 1877. This tech revue will showcase the distinction between analog and digital. Students will also explore the progression of recorded sound including records, tape technology and CDs and the digital means of today. Recommended for grades 6+.
This program is presented in partnership with the Delta Music Institute Entertainment Industry Program at Delta State University. The DMI is an independent center under the College of Arts & Sciences at Delta State University with its mission to provide students with a broad and thorough education in the technological, creative, and business areas of the entertainment industries.
