Youth Leadership Council: Soundstage Showdown

GRAMMY Museum^® Mississippi’s Youth Leadership Council presents the Third Annual Soundstage Showdown on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 6 p.m. The Youth Leadership Council is responsible for planning, promoting, and implementing every aspect of this event. Ten finalists were chosen to perform for a chance to be named Best in Show and to win the Matthew Rubio Memorial Award for Originality. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $8. Children 5 and under will be admitted free.

Sponsored by the Cleveland Rotary Club, the Youth Leadership Council is made up of 16 local students from Cleveland Central and Bayou Academy in grades 10-12. The purpose of this group is to give students a voice in the Cleveland community. Part of their responsibility is to help spread the word about GRAMMY Museum Mississippi and to be an example of how music engages and empowers students.  Through their involvement, these students have learned skills such as leadership, public speaking and event production.
