The Cleveland Music Foundation
Founded in 2011, the Cleveland Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization responsible for building and operating GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. As an affiliate of the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, the Foundation supports the mission to honor music’s history, celebrate the creative process, and showcase the story of the GRAMMY Awards.
Through its efforts, the Foundation has created a place where visitors can connect with music’s rich past and engage with the creative possibilities of its future.
The Recording Academy
The Recording Academy, established in 1957, is the organization behind the GRAMMY Awards and the steward of the GRAMMY Museum trademark and content, including GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE and GRAMMY Museum Mississippi.
Known worldwide for the GRAMMY Awards—music’s most respected peer-recognized honor—the Recording Academy represents the voices of musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers, and recording professionals. Beyond celebrating artistic excellence, the Academy is committed to advocating for creators’ rights, investing in education, and enriching culture through groundbreaking programs.
Through its mission to recognize musical excellence, support the well-being of music makers, and preserve music’s cultural legacy, the Recording Academy ensures that music remains a vital and unifying force for generations to come.
