Taught by Cassandra Burney Walter, Ballroom Dancing in the Delta will introduce participants to the elegance and energy of classic ballroom styles, such as waltz, foxtrot, swing, and rumba. Each class will highlight how music has shaped dance traditions across generations, with a special emphasis on Delta culture and timeless recordings.

Whether joining with a partner or coming solo, participants will learn step-by-step in an encouraging and social environment.

What to Expect:
An engaging, music-driven dance class designed for adults of all levels, with instruction tailored to beginners and those with experience alike.

Comfortable shoes recommended; no partner required. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexible registration options.

Attendees may sign up for individual weeks or participate in multiple sessions throughout the series.

Children’s classes for ages 8 – 18 will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., while adult classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
