ABOUT THE BUFORD SISTERS
Hailing from Glendora, Miss., the Buford Sisters have been singing together since before they can remember. Their annual Christmas concert features three generations of Buford women—mother Gwin, four daughters and two granddaughters. The four musically talented sisters—Lee Threadgill, Pryor Lampton, Sarah Goodwyn, and Donna Bryant—will share the spotlight for Grammy Museum Mississippi’s “Have Yourself A Delta Little Christmas” show.
ABOUT JAN PERRY BROCK
Born in Andalusia, Alabama, Jan grew up singing solos in her church and enjoyed performing in musicals. After high school, Jan attended Lurleen B. Wallace Community College on a voice scholarship there. She is most inspired by gospel music. Jan currently resides in Cleveland, Mississippi, and she is married to Charlie Brock.
ABOUT HARMONY
The Harmony Quartet started as a family musical ensemble in Boyle, Mississippi, and has evolved into something much bigger, with some members moving on to work with well-known recording artists and the group itself signing with the Memphis based Ecko Records label. Family patriarch Larry Williams said the Harmony Quartet started out with him, his wife, Barbara, and all their children almost thirty years ago performing their trademark style of Gospel music. “Barbara had to bow out of our group due to health reasons,” says Williams, “so right now the band consists of me, my son, Jermel, my daughter, Zynpthia, and Kenny Smith, plus our supporting musicians. We take turns singing lead, but Jermel is our main lead singer.” Williams continued, “This is not just some casual family singing group getting together to perform for fun, though–not by any stretch. We’ve performed in Spain, Italy, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit and beyond. It’s truly a family affair when it comes to the Harmony Quartet.”
ABOUT DAVE’S HIGHWAY
Defined by their exceptional harmonies and introspective lyrics, Daves Highway is an
intertwined, free-spirited breath of fresh air making a difference one song, and three
harmonies, at a time. The band name is their lineage derived early on when Zach (guitar), Delaney (bass) and Erika (lead vocals) traveled cross country as youngsters. The clan’s shared passion for music, “together is better” philosophy, and unwavering “all or nothing” gumption, forms a tightly-knit bond in mutual trust and genuine friendship. Yet each brings their own unique, individual talents to the assembly. Dynamic harmonies, honest lyrics and soft-rock, country fusion instrumentals characterize the musical triad–bringing a new organic sound to the contemporary country genre. Their music has earned them comparisons to Little Big Town, Band Perry, The Civil Wars and The Martins. Known for their genuine lyrics, undeniable chemistry and blood harmonies, Daves Highway has captivated audiences since their YouTube breakout in 2009 (amassing more than 20 Million views with the performance of “Jesus Messiah”). The group has recorded
and released four studio albums, played at the Ryman Auditorium, appeared on the “Bobby Bones Show,” and in 2023, toured with country music hitmaker Jake Owen. The band released its latest recording project, IF YOU ASKED ME, featuring six original tracks, in Spring 2025.
ABOUT TRICIA WALKER
A Mississippi singer/songwriter, Tricia Walker has become one of the clearest voices of her own time and place. Her songs have been recorded by Patty Loveless, Faith Hill, and Alison Krauss, whose performance of Walker’s “Looking in the Eyes of Love” earned a Grammy Award. Walker’s instrumental skills earned her a spot as a backing musician and vocalist for Connie Smith, Shania Twain, and Paul Overstreet. Along with Pam Tillis, Karen Staley, and Ashley Cleveland, Walker was a founding member of “Women in the Round,” one of the most celebrated foursomes at Nashville’s prestigious Bluebird Café. Walker returned to her native Mississippi in 2006 to become director of the Delta Music Institute, an entertainment industry studies program at Delta State University, where she retired from that position in 2019 as Director Emeritus. She was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award the same year by the Mississippi Writer’s Guild.
